About Humble Mission

The Mission

Humble Mission provides doula support to families that have loved deeply. The original Greek definiton of doula meant "woman who serves". We hope that every pregnancy results in a loving, fulfilling birth. Although, for the families that have had to say goodbye to their little ones during pregnancy, we are here to serve, support, and walk with them on their journey of love and loss.

Our Mission started after the loss of our own two babies, Francis and Claire, while they were still in utero in 2017. During that time, we were extremely blessed to have such wonderful support from our healthcare providers and family during difficult days. We realized not everyone has the strength or a family member that can help them find the supplies they need after they have learned their child has passed away... Humble Mission helps families who have learned their babies have died in-utero and provides Bereavement Boxes that include the supplies necessary for families to recover their babies during miscarriage in order to provide a burial for their small babies. Our goal is to help families find peace and see the beauty and joy that walk alongside the sorrow of loss.

We hope to support and bring peace to families during  their most difficult times.

Our Mission is supported through gifts from our Amazon Wishlist and a portion of the proceeds from Humble Mission Beads.

We are always looking for Humble Missionaries who can support our Humble Mission with their prayers.

"Humble Mission Beads is a desire that was placed in my heart from the time I was a small child. I always had an intense desire to create and then I tried to turn my dad's garage into a store on several occasions!

After converting to Catholicism in 2011, I acquired many religious medals as gifts... I didn't have a way to wear them that felt like me. I finally decided to make my own bracelet that was modern, funky, and feminine. I was incredibly excited about that first bracelet!

God refined my skills, focus, and heart over the years! Now, we feature the finest materials- gemstones, freshwater pearls, beautiful metals, and we acquire many of our religious medals from shrines, small family businesses, donations, and we pick up our favorites while our family is on pilgrimage!

Our pieces have stories. They are meant to inspire you to live lives that are oriented towards Heaven.

The Arlington Catholic Herald featured an article on our work in 2020.

We, also, have a section in our shop that is gifts for women, people that support them (family members, doulas, healthcare providers), and families that have suffered from miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss. We get it. We know women want something tangible to remind them of their little saints in Heaven.

A portion of our proceeds goes to support our work with families.

This shop is a huge dream that has been realized and our family is so, so grateful.

Join me, let's strive for Sainthood."

Bereavement Boxes

"(The boxes contain) things that someone who's never experienced this devastating tragedy, like myself, would never even think that you would need."

"The Bereavement Box you brought to our home  brought such guidance to us as we waited to miscarry at home. My husband and I felt better equipped for it. There was so much peace and grace in having our baby's remains with us until we were able to do a proper burial on holy ground.""

"Alison was amazing throughout my experience with her.  I was pregnant with twins but one had passed away.  She was kind and compassionate while discussing options for my angel and helpful when discusing my birth plan for both babies.  During the birth, She was amazing... She also helped communicate with the medical staff including my wishes to see my baby that had passed away."
